I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature. The section in ckc192.upd on
RECEIVE and GET directory changes is a bit obscure.
Setup: PC (MS-DOS kermit 3.14) sitting in SERVER mode.
Unix (C-Kermit 6.0.192) runs a script to get a file from the PC, and
store it locally. The GET command is run without parameters, and prompts for
the remote and local file names. eg:
[/j/lusgr] C-Kermit>get
Remote file specification: kermit.exe
Local name to store it under: /tmp/frog.exe
stores the file "frog.exe" in the local directory, not in /tmp.
[/j/lusgr] C-Kermit>get
Remote file specification: c:\util\kermit.exe
Local name to store it under: frog.exe
doesn't find the file on the PC end.
The directory names are being ignored. This process worked with C-Kermit 5.
Thanks,
Steve
